Link Hotel

ILink Hotel Singapore * is one of the largest boutique hotels in Singapore, with 288 full-service rooms spread across two blocks in the nostalgic area of Tiong Bahru, less than 2km from Singapore's central business district. Link Hotel maintains the area's art deco heritage and traditions through features such as the bird-lovers' arena and ethnically themed rooms.
Customer Need

Designing Link Hotel was a challenge from the beginning due to its heritage status, which imposed certain constraints on how the site could be changed. Working to refurbish the two buildings that now make up the hotel, the renovation team knew it had to work within those limits, while still providing modern voice, data and eventually pay TV infrastructure.

They required a technology supplier that could provide a modern communications system, specific to the hospitality industry, responsive, effective and with ongoing support to meets the 24x7 service availability promised by the hotel to its guests.

Avaya Solution
  • Working with Avaya integrator EmiNET Pte Ltd *, Link Hotel was able to design and implement a modern telephony environment based on a Avaya Meridian Option 11C PBX
  • Link Hotel uses the Avaya Meridian Option 11C PBX to integrate with a range of applications to facilitate easy administration
  • The 288 guest rooms are serviced by analogue and digital extensions using Avaya M3902 and M3904 digital phones for front desk, management staff and operators
Results & Benefits
  • A full-featured communications network with the reliability needed in a hospitality environment, built in adherence to the restrictions imposed by the hotel buildings' heritage status
  • Use of built-in features like RoomService, Check-In/Check-Out Status allows easy integration with the Hotel Information System, while links with its call billing system allows Link Hotel to provide a single bill incorporating telephone charges
  • Close partnership between Avaya and EmiNET, means trained technicians are available for phone or on-site support. There's no need for Link Hotel to hire trained IT staff.
